Los Angeles Lakers veteran player Carmelo Anthony has heaped praise on his teammate LeBron James for finding him in the right sport after the team’s win against Cleveland Cavaliers by 113-101 on Saturday. Anthony stated James does a fine job in reading the court and he was able to consistently provide the assists.
James was making a comeback from his ankle injury after missing the last two matches against San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers. The King James top-scored with 26 points whereas Carmelo Anthony scored 24 points. James also provided eight assists and once again played at the top of his game.
Carmelo Anthony said, “Just finding my position on the floor, finding my spot, and playing off the guys. I think LeBron does a great job of reading the court. Seeing where everybody is at, what guys are on the floor. And today he, you know, he did a great job of finding me.”
On the other hand, Anthony Davis scored 19 points and Russell Westbrook scored 18 points. Thus, the Lakers came up with a collective effort and registered their third win in the last four matches.
LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony have all the experience under their belt and they have played for 18 years in the NBA. Furthermore, both the veteran players have been able to hit the ground running and have shown the right chemistry between them to get the best out of themselves.
James and Anthony have been instrumental in the success of the team and they would aim to continue their good show. Moreover, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook are also doing a fine job.
However, LeBron James could be doubtful for the team’s next match as ankle injury has resurfaced.
LA Lakers will play their next match against Houston Rockets on Sunday.
