Stephen Curry had a stellar previous season for Golden State Warriors as he carried the team solely on his shoulders. Curry came up with one of his best career performances and showed why he is regarded as one of the best players in the game.
The 33-year old will hope to get more support from his teammates in the upcoming season so that he can help his side go all the way. The shooting forward also broke a plethora of records in the previous season and he will look to bring his best to the table for GSW once again.
Meanwhile, Curry is on the cusp of breaking another 3-pointer record in the upcoming season. Curry is all set to become the player with the most 3-point shots in NBA history.
The power forward has scored a total of 2832 three-pointers in his glorious career in which he has played 762 matches and he is hot on the heels of Ray Allen, who scored a total of 2973 three-points in his career but took a total of 1300 games to get to the milestone.
Ergo, Curry needs another 142 threes to leapfrog Allen from the numero uno position for the most three-pointers in NBA history.
On the other hand, former Indian pacers legend Reggie Miller made 2560 three-pointers in 1369 games he played and he is third on the list. However, despite being one of the greats of the game, Miller could not win an NBA Championship.
Meanwhile, Curry made 6540 attempts(43.3%) to score 2832 three-pointers. While Ray Allen’s 2973 were made in 7429 attempts (40%) and thus Curry has better accuracy than Allen.
Golden State Warriors will commence their NBA 2021-22 season against LA Lakers on October 20.
