Bangladesh will take on India in the second ODI at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka on Wednesday. The home team had drawn first blood in the series after winning the first ODI by one wicket. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the star of the show for the hosts as he scored 38 runs to get his team home when all hopes were lost.
Meanwhile, India had not come up with a collective batting effort in the first game. KL Rahul was the lone warrior as he had scored 73 runs but the rest of the batters had failed to contribute.
Furthermore, India’s bowling in the PowerPlay and middle overs was right on the money as the bowlers struck at regular intervals. However, India’s death bowling remains a concern as Kuldeep Sen, Deepak Chahar, and Shardul Thakur were not up to the mark at the fag end of the innings.
KL Rahul had also dropped Mehidy Hasan’s catch and it should have been ‘match over’ at that stage. Thus, India needs to pull up their socks in all three aspects of the game.
On the other hand, Shakib Al Hasan and Ebadot Hossain were brilliant for the hosts as they scalped five and four wickets respectively to bundle out the opposition at 186.
Match Prediction: Despite losing the first game, India will enter the contest as favorites against Bangladesh.
