India will aim to take an unassailable lead against Australia when they face them in the third T20I at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati on Tuesday. The hosts already have a 2-0 advantage in the ongoing series and they will aim to continue the winning impetus.
On the other hand, Australia will look to stay afloat by coming up with a collective show. The visitors’ bowlers could not hit the right areas in Thiruvanthanampuram as they conceded a gargantuan total of 235 runs on the board.
Ergo, they will need to pull up their socks with the ball and also come up with a better show with the bat.
Meanwhile, India’s top three – Ruturaj Gaikwad, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Ishan Kishan – had all scored fine half-centuries in the previous game and they will aim to keep up the good show. Furthermore, Rinku Singh has been providing the finishing touches and these performances will certainly give him a lot of confidence at the top level.
Moreover, Mukesh Kumar has been right on the money for India as he has nailed his yorkers in the death overs. Indian spin duo of Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi have also done a decent job in the middle overs.
For Australia, World Cup final hero Travis Head might come back into the playing XI and he will definitely add more power at the top of the order.
Match Prediction: India will once again enter the contest as favorites against Australia.
