After the two-match Test series, India will take on Bangladesh in the first T20I at the New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium, Gwalior. Mayank Yadav and Nitish Reddy have been picked in India’s squad and the youngsters will look to grab their opportunities with both hands.
Yadav had breathed down the neck of the opposition batters with his express pace in the IPL and he will look to hit the ground running if he gets his chance in the playing XI.
Varun Chakarvarthy has also been added to the T20I squad after an impressive run in the IPL 2024 for Kolkata Knight Riders.
Meanwhile, Sanju Samson will look to grab his chance and come up with more consistent performances at the top level, which has been an issue for him in the past.
India also registered a 3-0 win against Sri Lanka after the T20 World Cup and SKY will look to get the best out of his players.
On the other hand, Bangladesh will look to come up with a collective effort. The Tigers were stunned by Afghanistan in the T20 World Cup and they will have their work cut against the potent Indian team.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been recalled to the T20I squad after 14 months and he will look to deliver for the Tigers.
