India will lock horns against England in the third and final ODI of the series at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Wednesday. The hosts have already taken an impregnable lead of 2-0 in the series and they will look to clean sweep the visitors.
On the other hand, England would aim to get a consolation win before the all-important Champions Trophy. England batters haven’t put enough runs on the board in the first two matches and they must convert their starts into substantial scores.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma scored a fantastic knock of 119 runs off 90 balls in the last game and his return to form is a huge positive for the team. Shubman Gill has scored two fifties in two games and he would also look to carry his good show.
Furthermore, Ravindra Jadeja has bagged six wickets in the first two games and he has been right on the money with his line and length. However, Indian fast bowlers have looked a bit flat and they would look to pull up their socks.
Moreover, India wasn’t up to the mark in the field in the previous game as they dropped a couple of chances and they would aim to come up with an improved show.
England has suffered a blow as Jacob Bethell has been ruled out with a hamstring injury. In-form Tom Banton has been called as a cover.
Match Prediction: India would once again start as favorites against England.
