The table-toppers Gujarat Titans will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 40th match of the Indian Premier League 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Wednesday.
The Titans have managed six wins from seven matches whereas the Orange Army is hot on the heels of Hardik Pandya-led as they have won five games from seven matches.
In fact, Gujarat Titans have only lost against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the ongoing season. GT had won their previous match against KKR by eight runs to continue their sublime run whereas SRH obliterated RCB by nine wickets after skittling out the opposition at 68 runs.
SRH’s bowling unit has been right on the money and it has played a key role in their success. The likes of Marco Jansen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, and Umran Malik have been right on the money and the Orange Army have the variety in their attack. Furthermore, Jagadeesha Suchith has done a good job in place of Washington Sundar.
On the other hand, Gujarat Titans’ captain Hardik Pandya is leading from the front. Pandya scored another fine fifty to help his team post a competitive score against KKR. Moreover, Rashid Khan, who will play against his former team, had returned with impressive figures of 2-22 against KKR in the last game.
GT has been coming up with consistent performances but their top-order hasn’t fired at all cylinders, which could be worrying signs for them.
