Lucknow Super Giants will play their second match of the season against defending champions Chennai Super Kings in the seventh match at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on Thursday.
Both of these teams had lost their respective opening matches and they will look to bring their best in their second game.
Lucknow Super Giants were put under pressure by Gujarat Titans as they lost four wickets. However, they recovered well to post 158 runs on the board after Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni scored fifties. Furthermore, Lucknow Super Giants bowlers also did a decent job to take the game into the last over despite posting a below-par score.
KL Rahul will look to lead from the front and get his team off to a good start. LSG has a decent batting unit and they will look to come up with a collective effort. However, they will want more from their top order in the upcoming matches.
On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings also had a disappointing day with the bat against Kolkata Knight Riders. The reigning champions could only post 131 runs on the board and they will need to come up with a better batting show. MS Dhoni scored a fighting fifty for his team, which was a positive for CSK.
Dwayne Bravo was once again right on the money as the veteran scalped three wickets and conceded 20 runs in his quota of four overs.
Ravindra Jadeja will need to be more proactive in getting the best out of his players as he wasn’t at his best.
Match Prediction: Chennai Super Kings will enter the contest as favorites against Lucknow Super Giants given their experience.
