The table-toppers Gujarat Titans will face bottom-placed Mumbai Indians in the 51st match of the Indian Premier League at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on Friday. The Titans had lost their previous match against Punjab Kings and they will look to get back to the winning way whereas Mumbai Indians had finally registered their maiden win of the season against Rajasthan Royals in their last game.
Gujarat Titans could not come up with a good batting show as they could only manage 143 runs on the board against Punjab Kings. Only Sai Sudharsan scored 65 runs and thus the rest of the batters will need to pull up their socks.
Apart from their previous match loss, Gujarat Titans have been incredible throughout the tournament as they have ticked the right boxes and have won the crucial stages of the match.
On the other hand, Mumbai would have been relieved after getting their first win. However, it just came too late for them and they are all but out of the playoff race. Suryakumar Yadav continued his good form as he scored a fine fifty whereas Tilak Verma has continued to impress. The young left-hander, who is playing his maiden IPL season, is the highest run-getter for Mumbai in this edition.
Furthermore, Ishan Kishan played freely against RR though he could only score 26 runs. Tim David had added the finishing touches for MI.
