IPL 2022 Retention: Full list of players retained by all eight franchises

A total of 27 players were retained by the eight franchises ahead of IPL 2022 auction. Out of these 27 players, 19 players were Indian players, of which four are uncapped players. Eight foreign players have been retained by all the franchises.

Here we take a look at the full list of players who have been retained by the eight franchises.

Chennai Super Kings: The reigning champions retained all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja (16 crores), captain MS Dhoni (12 crores), all-rounder Moeen Ali (8 crores), and opening batter Ruturaj Gaikwad (6 crores). Their remaining purse: ₹48 crores.

Kolkata Knight Riders: The runners of IPL 2021 have retained all-rounder Andre Russell (12 crores), opening batter Venkatkesh Iyer (8 crores), mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy (8 crores), and talismanic spinner Sunil Narine (6 crores). KKR remaining purse: INR 48 crores.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: SRH has decided not to retain their big players like David Warner and Rashid Khan. They have retained their skipper Kane Williamson (14 crores), and have also invested in youngsters like Abdul Samad and Umran Malik for INR 4 crores each. Orange Army remaining purse: INR 68 crores.

Mumbai Indians: The five-time champions have decided to retain their skipper Rohit Sharma (16 crores), Kieron Pollard (6 crores), batter Suryakumar Yadav (8 crores), and premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah (12 crores). The remaining purse value of MI is ₹48 crores.

Royal Challengers Bangalore: RCB has decided to retain their former skipper Virat Kohli (15 crores), all-rounder Glenn Maxwell (11 crores), and fast bowler Mohammed Siraj (7 crores). Their remaining purse value stands at ₹57 crore.

Delhi Capitals: DC have retained their skipper Rishabh Pant (16 crores), Prithvi Shaw (7.5 crores), Axar Patel (9 crores), and Anrich Nortje (6.5 crores). The DC remaining purse value is ₹47.5 crore.

Rajasthan Royals: The inaugural champions have decided to keep Sanju Samson (14 crores), England star wicket-keeper Jos Buttler (10 crores), and young Yashasvi Jaiswal (4 crores). Their remaining purse value is INR 62 crores.

Punjab Kings: PBKS have let go of their skipper KL Rahul, who wanted to go under the hammer. The Mohali-based franchise has backed opener Mayank Agarwal (12 crores) and greenhorn seamer Arshdeep Singh (4 crores). Their remaining purse value is ₹72 crore.
