Delhi Capitals will take on Gujarat Titans at their home ground of Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on Tuesday. The Capitals had lost their opening match of the season against LSG whereas the Titans were able to hit the ground running against CSK.
Thus, DC will be looking to register their maiden win whereas GT will want to build on the impetus in IPL 2023.
Here is the stats preview of the Delhi Capitals vs Gujarat Titans match:
GT skipper Hardik Pandya has scored 1971 runs in 108 IPL matches and he is 29 runs away from reaching the 2000-run mark. Pandya has already completed 50 wickets in the tournament.
David Miller, who joined the franchise on Monday, has amassed 2455 runs in 105 IPL matches. The South African southpaw is 45 runs shy of the 2500-run mark.
Shubman Gill, who scored a fine knock of 63 runs in the opening game against CSK, has 1963 runs in 75 IPL matches. The in-form youngster will be looking to reach the 2000-run by scoring another 37 runs.
Wriddhiman Saha, the other GT opener, has amassed 2452 runs in 145 IPL matches and the wicket-keeper bat requires another 48 runs to reach 2500 runs in the tournament.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals captain David Warner has gathered 5937 runs in 163 IPL matches at an average of 42.11. Ergo, the Australian will become the third IPL player after Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan to reach the 6000 runs milestone in the tournament if he scores another 63 runs against GT.
Mitchell Marsh is 24 runs away from scoring 500 runs in the IPL.
Anrich Nortje needs another seven wickets to get to the milestone of 50 wickets in the tournament.
