May will kick off when Lucknow Super Giants will lock horns against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 43rd match of the season at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on Monday. Both of these teams had played a thrilling contest when LSG had come out on top on the last ball of the run-chase earlier in the season.
Meanwhile, LSG has played two very contrasting matches in their last two matches. They had failed to even chase down 136 against defending champions Gujarat Titans however they went on post a Brobdingnagian score of 257 runs – the second-highest score of the IPL against Punjab Kings.
Kyle Mayers, Marcus Stoinis, and Ayush Badoni had done a terrific job for the team against PBKS and they will be looking to carry the good show.
On the other hand, RCB had lost their previous match against Kolkata Knight Riders by 21 runs. Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis, their two players in form, were dismissed cheaply and thus they failed to get going in the run chase of 201 runs. RCB has been over-reliant on the shoulders of Maxwell, Kohli, and Faf and other middle-order batters need to put their hand up.
Match Prediction: Royal Challengers Bangalore will enter the contest as favorites against Lucknow Super Giants.
