IPL 2023: Gujarat Titans vs Lucknow Super Giants – Dafanews Match Preview

The reigning champions Gujarat Titans will lock horns against Lucknow Super Giants in the 51st match of the ongoing IPL 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Sunday. Both of these two teams have once again impressed in the ongoing season and they will be looking to carry the good show.

At this time of the tournament, both teams will want to build a winning impetus. When these two teams had met earlier in the season, Gujarat Titans had won by seven runs. We look at the current form, head-to-head, players to look out for, and squads of both teams in our match preview.

Current form for LSG: NR L W L W

LSG has suffered a huge blow as their skipper KL Rahul has left the franchise’s camp after suffering an injury. Krunal Pandya will lead in his absence but the team management has not named any replacement. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to give Quinton de Kock his chance at the top of the order.

Current form for GT: L W W W L

GT would have been disappointed with their batting rendition in the previous match against Delhi Capitals as they fluffed to chase down a sub-par score of 131 runs. Thus, the reigning champions will be more determined to get back to winning ways.

Head to Head: Matches: 3, Won by GT: 3, Won by LSG: 0.

Gujarat Titans had won all of their three matches against Lucknow Super Giants so far.

Players to watch out for: Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, and Mohammed Shami are going to hold the key for GT.

Kyle Mayers, Nicholas Pooran, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Mark Wood, and Ravi Bishnoi will be the crucial players for LSG.
