Gujarat Titans will lock horns against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 63rd match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Monday. It will be a must-win game for the Gujarat Titans to stay in contention in the playoffs race whereas KKR has already sealed their last four berth.
However, a win against Gujarat Titans will ensure a top-two finish for Kolkata Knight Riders. The Shreyas Iyer-led team registered a 18-run win against Mumbai Indians in the last game and they will look to continue the winning impetus.
Varun Chakravarthy has done a fine job for KKR, picking 18 wickets in 12 matches. Furthermore, KKR has come up with a collective batting show, which has played a key role in the success of the team.
Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, registered a convincing win of 35 runs against the reigning champions Chennai Super Kings. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan scored fine centuries as the GT openers batted at the top of their game to put CSK under the pump.
GT’s pack leader Mohit Sharma also did a fine job as he bagged three wickets and played a key hand in team’s win.
