IPL 2024: Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Chennai Super Kings – Dafanews Match Preview

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will square off against Chennai Super Kings in the 68th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Saturday. These two south-based teams had faced each other in the opening match of the season, which CSK won comfortably by six wickets.

However, now they will take on each other with playoffs spot on the line. CSK needs to win to once again make it to the last four whereas RCB will have to topple CSK’s NRR if they have to qualify.

We take a look at the head-to-head battle, Players to watch out for, and Squads of both teams in our match preview.

Chennai Super Kings: W L W L W

Chennai Super Kings haven’t been able to get consistent wins throughout the season and they will need to snap that trend if they have to go through. The middle-order hasn’t come up with consistent performances and it will be an area of concern for them.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru: W W W W W

RCB is the solitary team in the tournament to win five matches on the bounce. However, England batter Will Jacks has left for national duty and it will be interesting to note who will replace him at the number three spot.

Head to Head: Matches: 33, Won by CSK: 22, Won by RCB: 10, NR: 1.

CSK certainly holds a wood on RCB in H2H in the IPL.

Players to watch out for: Mohammed Siraj, Lockie Ferguson, Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Cameron Green, Rajat Patidar, Dinesh Karthik, and Glenn Maxwell will hold the key for RCB.

MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, and Tushar Deshpande will be the crucial players for CSK.
