Sunrisers Hyderabad will lock horns against table-toppers Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad in the 50th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 on Thursday. RR has been in amazing form, winning eight out of their nine matches but they wouldn’t want to take their foot off the accelerator.
RR has almost confirmed their playoff berth but they want to carry the winning impetus. The inaugural champions won their previous match against Lucknow Super Giants as they registered a convincing seven-wicket victory. Sanju Samson, who has been added to India’s T20 World Cup squad, continued his good form.
RR has ticked all the right boxes and they have been the best team of the tournament so far.
On the other hand, SRH was also going strongly but have they have suffered two losses in the last two games against Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
They lost by 35 runs against RCB whereas suffered a huge loss of 78 runs against CSK and thus their batting, which has been firing at all cylinders, needs to bounce back strongly against RR.
SRH openers – Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma – who have been batting at their absolute best, have been dismissed cheaply in the last two games and they will determined to once again deliver.
Match Prediction: Rajasthan Royals will enter the contest as favorites against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
