Peshawar Zalmi will face Lahore Qalandars in the ninth match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2022 at the National Stadium, Karachi on Wednesday. Both the teams have thus far played two matches out of which they have won one and lost one.
Peshawar Zalmi had lost their previous encounter against Islamabad United by nine wickets. United had chased down the total of 169 runs inside 16 overs after Paul Stirling and Alex Hales scored quickfire fifties.
However, Sherfane Rutherford was a positive for Peshawar Zalmi as he scored an unbeaten knock of 70 runs off just 46 balls but there are bowling concerns for the team as none of the bowlers were able to take a solitary wicket.
On the other hand, Lahore Qalandars won their last fixture against Karachi Kings by six wickets. Haris Rauf was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped three wickets whereas Fakhar Zaman scored a fine knock of 106 runs to help his team chase down 171 runs. Thus, the Shaheen Shah Afridi-led team will look to continue the good show.
