South Africa vs India, 1st T20I – Stats Preview

After the T20 World Cup final, South Africa and India will meet again in the first T20I of the four-match series at the Kingsmead, Durban on Friday. After the T20 World Cup, India has ticked the right boxes in the shortest format, winning all of their six matches under new leader Suryakumar Yadav, three each against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

The young Indian brigade has been given the license to play freely and they have grabbed their chances with both hands.

On the other hand, South Africa has lost four out of their last five matches since the T20 World Cup and they will need to come up with an improved show against India.

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav needs six sixes to complete 150 maximums in T20Is.

Rinku Singh needs 21 runs to complete 500 runs in T20Is.

Hardik Pandya needs 13 sixes to reach 100 maximums in T20Is.

Axar Patel needs 37 runs to complete the 500-run mark in T20Is.

David Miller needs 61 runs to complete 2500 runs in the T20I format.

Heinrich Klaasen needs 88 runs to reach the 1000-run mark in T20Is. He also needs four maximums to reach 50 sixes in T20Is.
