South Africa will take on India in the fourth T20I at the Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg on Friday. The visitors took an impregnable lead of 2-1 in the four-match series after winning the third game by 11 runs. Suryakumar Yadav’s team will look to come up with a series-winning performance whereas South Africa will aim to draw level.
Tilak Varma was able to grab his number three opportunity with both hands as he scored a fantastic knock of 107 runs off just 56 balls to help India post a par score on the board. The southpaw struck eight fours and seven sixes in his maiden T20I century as he batted at the top of his game.
Abhishek Sharma was also able to get back into form as he scored a fine knock of 50 runs off just 25 balls.
On the other hand, the Proteas need to come up with a better bowling performance as they conceded 219 runs. The home team’s top order hasn’t been consistent enough in the first three matches and they will need to turn the tables.
Marco Jansen scored a majestic knock of 54 runs off just 17 balls but the likes of Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller need to be more consistent.
Match Prediction: India will enter the contest as favorites against South Africa after winning the last game.
