India will lock horns against Zimbabwe in their last match of the Super 12 stage in the T20 World Cup at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday. A win for the Men in Blue will secure their place in the semifinal and they wouldn’t want to be complacent against Zimbabwe, which has already stunned Pakistan in the tournament.
Zimbabwe, on the other hand, is almost out of the semifinal race but they will look to bring their best against the potent Indian team. The African nation had lost their previous match against the Netherlands, which would have dented their confidence.
Zimbabwe were skittled out for a paltry score of 117 runs against the Dutch team and they will have to come up with a better batting performance.
Meanwhile, India had a lucky escape against Bangladesh as the match got closer than they would have liked. KL Rahul got back amongst the runs for India and it was a huge positive for the team. Furthermore, Virat Kohli continued his sublime form as he scored another match-winning knock.
On the other hand, the Indian bowlers were right on the money after the rain break against Bangladesh and they were well supported by their fielders.
