India will lock horns against Australia in the 51st match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia on Monday. The Men in Blue have put their one foot in the semifinal door after winning their both Super 8 clashes against Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
On the other hand, Australia won their opening match against Bangladesh but they were flabbergasted by Afghanistan by 21 runs. Thus, the Mitchell Marsh-led will want to be at their best against the in-form Indian team and this will be a must-win game for them.
India came up with an impressive batting show against Bangladesh as they took an aggressive approach from the get-go. All the batters were able to contribute whereas Hardik Pandya played a crucial knock of 50 runs off 27 balls. Team India will want to continue to bat with a similar template.
Furthermore, Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah were once again at their best as they scalped three and two wickets respectively. Yadav returned with impressive figures of 3-19 whereas Bumrah bagged 2-13 to continue his rich form.
Meanwhile, Australia could not chase down 149 runs against Afghanistan and they will need to come up with a better batting show against the potent Indian team. Moreover, Australia was sloppy in the field and they will look to get back at their best.
