T20 World Cup 2024: South Africa vs India, Final – Stats Preview

India will square off against South Africa in the all-important final of the ongoing T20 World Cup at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados on Saturday. Both of these teams have ticked the right boxes as they have been unbeaten so far in the tournament.

This is the maiden World Cup final for South Africa as they were finally able to break their semifinal jinx against Afghanistan. On the other hand, India has gone without any silverware in the last 11 years and they will be determined to end that drought.

Indian bowling has been right on the money as Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav have been the pick of the bowlers.

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya needs 13 runs to reach the 1500-run mark in T20Is. The final will be Pandya’s 100th T20I match as well.

Yuzvendra Chahal needs four wickets to complete 100 wickets in T20Is. He will become the first Indian bowler to reach 100 wickets in the T20I version.

Rishabh Pant needs seven sixes to complete 50 maximums in T20Is.

South African captain Aiden Markram needs one six to complete 50 maximums in his T20I career.

SA opener Reeza Hendricks needs five sixes to complete 50 sixes in T20Is. The right-hander also needs 62 runs to complete 2000 runs in T20Is.

David Miller needs 82 runs to complete 2500 runs in T20Is.
