India will be up against New Zealand in the first semifinal of the ongoing World Cup 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Wednesday. India won nine on the bounce and they will aim to be at their absolute best in the knockout semifinal, just like the way they have been throughout the tournament.
New Zealand was brilliant in the first half of the league stage, winning their first four matches but could not keep up the good show in the next four games.
India has done a magnificent job with both bat and ball as they have come up with a collective show in all the matches. The hosts aren’t dependent on a single player and that has been their biggest strength in the ongoing ODI showpiece.
More importantly, the bowling unit has clicked as Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav have been right on the money.
