Zimbabwe will face India in the third ODI of the series at the Harare Sports Club, Harare on Monday. India has already taken an impregnable lead of 2-0 in the series and they might give chances to players, who haven’t received opportunities so far.
Indian bowlers were once again right on the money as they skittled out Zimbabwe for only 161 runs in the second game. Shardul Thakur was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors as he had scalped three wickets. In fact, Zimbabwe hasn’t been able to cross the 200-run mark in the first two matches.
Sean Williams scored 42 runs in the previous match but the hosts will want more from their top-order, which has disappointed so far. Sikander Raza, who was in terrific form against Bangladesh, hasn’t been able to replicate the same against the potent Indian team.
On the other hand, Sanju Samson scored a match-winning knock of 43 runs and got his team over the line. Samson was finally able to grab his chance and this performance must have given him a lot of confidence.
Meanwhile, KL Rahul might want to change his strategy if he once again wins the toss. It won’t be a bad idea to bat first against Zimbabwe so that the batters can get crucial game time under their belt.
Match Prediction: India will start the contest as red-hot favorites against Zimbabwe.
