Hyderabad FC talisman striker Bartholomew Ogbeche has advised young players of the team to not be satisfied after they thrashed NorthEast United by 5-1 at the Athletic Stadium, Bambolim on Monday. Hyderabad dominated the whole contest and it was one-way traffic.
Ogbeche scored a brace as he found the back of the net in the 27th and 78th minute of the game. Chinglensana Singh opened the account for Hyderabad as he scored in the 12th minute. Aniket Jadhav and Siverio both scored at the fag end of the game as Nizams gave an absolute hammer to NorthEast United.
While speaking in the post-match presentation Ogbeche said, “I am happy to raise the bar high. I think we should do better. We need to demand more from ourselves and we can improve. Most of the young lads are learning and the senior players always advise them not to be satisfied and stay hungry.”
On the other hand, Hyderabad FC head coach Manuel Marquez was delighted with the performance of his team and also heaped praise on the defensive line along with the forwards who scored five goals for the team.
In post mast presentation Marquez said, “As a coach, it is difficult to enjoy the match. After the third goal, I was a bit calm. It is important that we did not concede goals today. I am happy with the defensive system today and not only with our four goal scorers.”
Ashish Rai was awarded the Hero of the Match for his fine performance in the defense. Rai added that it wasn’t an easy challenge as NorthEast United is a tough team.
He said, “This (win) was very important for us. We wanted to get all three points. It wasn’t an easy challenge because they (Northeast United FC) are a tough team.”
