“All opponents are difficult,” says Hyderabad FC boss Manolo Marquez ahead of their clash against Chennaiyin FC

Hyderabad FC boss Manolo Marquez wants his players to play at a consistent level with extreme dedication as they aim to remain in touching distance with league leaders Mumbai City FC. The Nizams will next host Chennaiyin FC at the GMC Balayogi Stadium with the hope of getting another win.

Marquez’s men are second on the Indian Super League points table and a way ahead of Chennaiyin FC who are in seventh position and are fighting to sneak into the playoffs. The Nizams for the second time have won five games in a row and now they will look to take it forward against the Marina Machans.

Hyderabad FC’s Spanish boss shares how Chennaiyin FC will be a tricky team to face with their motivation high as they will look to get into the playoffs. He even lauded their risk taking ability and also appreciated their style of play.

“It is always good to perform in front of home support, and I expect a very difficult game since Chennaiyin FC are a good team and they are in a position where they are close to sixth place even after playing a game less than the other teams. I think they are a team that takes risks, and I like the way they play. They have improved in the last few games, and we expect a tough game,” Marquez stated at the pre match press conference.

Manolo Marquez was not happy with his team despite their 3-1 win against FC Goa. He shared how his men were almost nowhere to be seen in the first 55-60 minutes as the Gaurs pulled the string. However the Nizams still managed to win courtesy of a hattrick from Bartholomew Ogbeche. “I was not able to explain how FC Goa plays, and this is the reason I felt we did not appear for the first 55-60 minutes in Goa, but we managed to play well after we scored the second goal,” stated Marquez.

“All the opponents are difficult, and every team can beat the other team with different styles, it is about how you understand to manage every game according to your style,” he added.
The Nizams are right at the back of Mumbai City FC and are playing really well. They trail by 2 points and if they keep on performing like this, they may put some pressure on the Islanders as seven games still remain in the league phase this season. “These results make me happy, and I think in some years people will remember these players, but still seven games are remaining, and we have to continue to finish in the top two,” Marquez concluded.
