Hyderabad FC has announced their 26-man squad for the upcoming season Hero Indian Super League 2021-22, which will be played in Goa from November 19. Hyderabad had come up with some good performances in the previous season and Manuel Marquez will once again look to get the best out of the players.
Hyderabad has added new 11 players to their squad with them retaining foreign players like Joel Chianese and Joao Victor. Victor will lead Hyderabad FC in the eighth season of the tournament. Defender Juanan Gonzalez, midfielder Edu Garcia and attackers Bart Ogbeche and Javi Siverio are the four new additions to the overseas contingent at HFC.
“Aaren D’Silva, Aniket Jadhav, and goalkeeper Gurmeet Singh are some of the exciting signings made by the club in the off-season while the experience of Pritam Soraisam and Nim Dorjee Tamang makes the backline stronger”, Hyderabad FC said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad FC had a decent previous campaign as they won six out of the 20 matches they played and finished at fifth place with 29 points. Thus, they missed out on the semifinal berth by a whisker and Manuel Marquez will look to take his team all the way in the upcoming season.
Hyderabad FC will begin their ISL 2021-22 campaign against two-time champions Chennaiyin FC on 23rd November at the Bambolim Stadium, Goa.
