“I believe in this team,” Pronay Halder pledges to improve Jamshedpur FC’s situation after joining the club for a second stint

In the recent turn of events, Pranoy Halder is back in Jamshedpur FC colours and is very excited to represent the Men of Steel again for a second stint. This time he has joined the club on a permanent deal after his loan stint where he played a very pivotal role under former coach Owen Coyle last season in winning the League Shield.

However the tables have turned and Coyle is no longer with the club and they are currently struggling to get points this season in the Indian Super League. Halder will be hoping that with his arrival things change quickly and they are able to pose a one last pushfor the playoffs this season with a couple of more spots, giving a last shot seems pretty justified. However they need to be in the right mindset to pull off a miracle for now.

“It’s a pleasure to be here and honestly speaking, it’s a great feeling to be back in Jamshedpur FC and I feel very happy. I’m ready to give my 100% in each and every training session and as well as the match.” Halder told the club’s media team.

The Indian defensive midfielder is mainly signed to provide more stability as Aidy Boothroyd’s team have been very below average in defense, managing to keep only one clean sheet. They have also won a single game this season along with three draws. Halder’s introduction to the team will surely add more defensive steel as he will look to sit right in front of the backline and clear up dangerous balls. His combative nature also helps in 50-50 situations as he tries to muscle out the opposition from possession.

Halder shared how the coach has motivated him and he also believes a lot in this team that won the League Shield last year and believes that with a lot of hard work Jamshedpur FC will turn their fate.

“The coach has been motivating me a lot on the field. We believe in this team. If we work well together be it on the field or off of it then we can achieve something good together. Last year we won the League Shield and I’ve a happy memory of that moment but this season as well. I believe in this team. I’ve watched a lot of matches of Jamshedpur FC in the current season and I have trust in this team. If we work hard and we stick to our coach’s plan, I believe we can achieve something,” he added.

It has been a tough season for Jamshedpur FC as their last win came back in October against NorthEast United that too a 1-0 win over the wooden spooners. The Men of Steel have failed to show any steel this season as they have conceded goals in every way possible. They will next face East Bengal at home and Halder will be determined along with others to get a positive result from these fixtures if they want any chance to improve their record this season.
