The Indian contingent had a successful campaign at the Tokyo Paralympics which came to a close on Sunday. China finished at the top of the medals tally with a total of 207 medals. India came up with inspiring performances as they won a total of 19 medals to finish at the 24th place in the medals tally.
India bagged five Golds, eight Silver, and six Bronze to end a successful run at the Tokyo Paralympics. Shooter Avani Lekhara, 19, won Gold and Bronze and became the first Indian woman to win more than one medal at the Tokyo Paralympics. Singhraj Adana also bagged Silver and Bronze in Shooting for India as the country had its most successful campaign at the Paralympics Games.
