Hyderabad Black Hawks haven’t had the best of starts to the ongoing Prime Volleyball League as they have lost two out of their three matches in the inaugural season.
Hyderabad lost their previous match against Bengaluru Torpedoes by 3-2 on Friday and they will look to bounce back stronger.
Hyderabad Black Hawks middle blocker John Joseph EJ believes if his team can improve their blocking then they will surely win in the upcoming matches. Hyderabad will face Chennai Blitz in their fourth match of the season. Chennai too has got off to a poor start as they have lost both of their matches so far.
John Joseph EJ said: “It’s unfortunate that we have lost two matches in a row. We are focusing on executing our plans properly in our next match. We will make sure that we don’t repeat our mistakes in our upcoming matches. We have to improve on our blocking. If we improve our blocking, then we’ll surely win.”
John added that India doesn’t have proper infrastructure for Volleyball and hopefully, PVL will help bring a revolution in the sport in the country.
“We don’t have enough infrastructure for volleyball in India. With advanced coaching and equipment such as service machines and attacking machines, we can become much better players. We need to have longer coaching camps as well.”
Meanwhile, it is well known that blocking is a key part of Volleyball and Hyderabad will look to come up with better defensive performances in the upcoming matches. Hyderabad has certainly taken their lessons from the first three games and they will look to bounce back stronger.
On the other hand, Chennai Blitz will look to win their maiden match of the season.
