Dafanews is delighted to announce that we have extended our Principal Sponsorship deal with Pro Kabaddi franchise Haryana Steelers for the eighth season for ongoing Pro Kabaddi 2021.
As part of the deal, Haryana Steelers players will support the Dafanews logo on their jerseys in the ongoing season.
Meanwhile, Haryana Steelers played their first season in Pro Kabaddi League in 2017. The team’s best season came in the 2019 edition when they were able to make it to the Eliminator. However, they were knocked out of the tournament by U Mumba.
They had put themselves in the title race in the previous season due to the presence of fine Raiders. However, they could not cross the line against U Mumba due to their defense error.
Haryana Steelers had finished the league stage in fifth place in the seventh season of the Pro Kabaddi 2019 as they had won 13 matches out of the 22 they had played and had a total of 71 points under their bag.
In fact, Haryana Steelers had also qualified for the playoffs in their maiden season of the league, which was overall the fifth edition of the tournament.
They had finished at fifth place in the PKL 5. However, they were eliminated from the league stage in the sixth season of the tourney after finishing at sixth place in the points table.
The team’s head coach Rakesh Kumar had done a fine job in getting the best out of the players in the previous season and he will once again look to get the best out of his players in the ongoing tournament.
Haryana Steelers will begin their Pro Kabaddi 2021 campaign against Patna Pirates on 23rd December at Sheraton Grand, Whitefield, Bengaluru.
