James Harden’s move from Houston Rockets to Brooklyn Nets created a lot of spark in the NBA. Harden was not happy at his previous franchise and let his frustrations known. Now, he is playing for the Brooklyn Nets and just after two games for the team, he is turning the heads for all the right reasons.
Harden played a key role in the team’s win over Milwaukee Bucks as the Nets won by 125-123 on Tuesday. Harden top scored with 34 points for the Nets and also registered 12 assists, to record a double-double for the team.
Ergo, James Harden has become the first player in Brooklyn Nets’ history to score 30+ points and 10+ assists in the first two matches for the team. Earlier, Harden had scored 32 points, 14 assists and 12 rebounds when he made his Nets debut against Orlando Magic and scored his first triple-double for the franchise. The Nets had won that match by 122-115.
Meanwhile, the win against Milwaukee Bucks was the fourth consecutive victory for the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets have thus far won nine out of the 15 matches they have played.
On the other hand, there were doubts raised earlier on the performance of James Harden as he has gained some weight. However, Harden has answered his critics in style. The 31-year-old will look to continue the good form for Brooklyn Nets in the coming matches.
Meanwhile, Kevin Durant has also been in top form for the Brooklyn Nets. Durant has scored 72 points in the last two games for the franchise and the pair of Harden and Durant have done a fantastic job for Brooklyn Nets.
The Brooklyn Nets will next face the Cleveland Cavaliers on 21st January.
