After taking an impregnable lead of 2-0 in the series, India will take on South Africa in the third T20I at the Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore. The hosts had won the second T20I by 16 runs after their batters had done a fine job and posted a gargantuan score of 237 runs on the board.
On the other hand, South Africa will be disappointed with their bowling performance as they could not execute their plans. Furthermore, Indian bowlers were also not up to the mark, especially while bowling at the death.
KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Suryakumar Yadav played brilliant knocks and it is a big positive for the team. It has been reported that Virat Kohli will be rested for the final game and it will be interesting to note the team’s combination in the dead rubber contest.
Meanwhile, South Africa will want to come up with a better bowling show. The Proteas’ fast bowlers had taken a beating and they will be determined to make a solid comeback.
David Miller had scored a magnum opus knock of 106 runs whereas Quinton de Kock had struggled to get going.
The death bowling also remains a concern for the Indian team as they leaked a total of 78 runs in the last five overs. Arshdeep Singh conceded 62 runs and the last two overs had cost 46 runs to the team in the second game.
