The inaugural edition of the Nepal T20 domestic franchise tournament will kick off on Friday, December 23. Six teams namely – Kathmandu Knights, Janakpur Royals, Far West United, Lumbini All Stars, Biratnagar Super Kings, and Pokhara Avengers – will take part in the tournament.
Earlier, Nepal had hosted private T20 leagues like Everest Premier League (EPL) and Dhangadhi Premier League (DPL) however, Nepal T20 will be organized by Nepal Cricket Board.
The player draft had taken place on September 11 and all six teams have confirmed their 16-man squad. The league stage will run till January 6 whereas the final of the competition will take place on January 10. The top four teams at the end of the league stage will qualify for the playoff stages.
