Rajasthan Royals bowling coach Shane Bond has showered praise on the team’s captain Sanju Samson for leading from the front in the ongoing Indian Premeir League 2024. RR is in a commanding position in IPL 2024, winning eight out of their 10 matches in the tournament so far.
Samson has scored 385 runs in 10 matches at an average of 64.17 and a whirlwind strike rate of 159.09 in the ongoing edition. Thus, the RR captain has come up with consistent performances for his team.
Furthermore, Samson has been spot on with his field placements and bowling changes. He has backed his players to the hilt and has got the best out of them.
Samson has been selected in India’s T20 World Cup squad and he will look to deliver the goods for the national team while batting in the lower-middle order.
“I am really impressed obviously coming into this team for the first time. It’s been fantastic, he (Samson) is a fun guy. I think what he has been learning for the couple of years is managing his time, managing his energy. IPL is an energy-sapping competition, especially the backend and it’s exciting to see his leadership. He has played beautifully and I am happy that he has been selected in the T20 World Cup squad,” Shane Bond said in the pre-match press conference.
RR has come up with a collective effort in the ongoing season as all the players have come up with consistent performances.
The inaugural champions have all but confirmed their playoff berth and they will look to continue the good show in the upcoming matches.
Rajasthan Royals will face Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on Tuesday.
