The five-time champions Australia will begin their World Cup campaign against hosts India at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Sunday. Australia recently played a three-match ODI series against India, which they lost by 2-1.
However, the series in India just before the World Cup must have helped the Aussies acclimate to the conditions. There were also some positives with the likes of David Warner, Steve Smith, and Marnus Labuschagne getting amongst the runs. Furthermore, Adam Zampa, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins will hold the key for Australia.
Moreover, Australia has quality all-rounders in their team as Marcus Stoinis, Cameron Green, and Glenn Maxwell will be the crucial players for the Pat Cummins-led team.
It is well known that Australia are a force to reckon with if they reach the knockout stages and the Men in Yellow will be determined to go all the way.
