India will square off against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club, Harare in the third T20I on Wednesday. The visitors bounced back strongly with a comprehensive 100-run win after losing the opening game of the five-match series by 13 runs.
Abhishek Sharma showed why he could be India’s future in the T20I format as he took the Zimbabwe bowlers to the cleaners, smashing seven fours and eight sixes in his 47-ball 100. Moreover, Ruturaj Gaikwad adopted a sedate approach at the start of the innings but later changed gears to play an impressive knock of 47-ball 77. Furthermore, Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar bagged three wickets each in the second game to skittle the hosts at 134.
Zimbabwe, on the other hand, was poor in the field, fluffing four catches, and thus had to pay the price.
