Hyderabad FC winger Abdul Rabeeh has extended his contract with the club till 2026 till the end of the Hero ISL 2025-26 season, the team announced on Tuesday. Rabeeh joined the Nizams in the summer of 2021 and also impressed with his performances in the Durand Cup.
Since then he has impressed under the tutelage of Manolo Marquez in the ongoing season for the defending champions. Rabeeh said he is happy to be part of the club and wants to keep giving his best to the team.
“I am really happy to be a part of this club. We are all a family here and we help each other improve and learn every day. I aim to become a better player and hope to continue being an important part of the plan,” said the 22-year-old, after penning the extension.
“The fans at Hyderabad are really caring. They show their love on social media and I hope they will also show up in numbers to push the team in the stadium,” Rabeeh added.
Meanwhile, the youngster has played 11 matches in the ongoing season whereas he played three games in the previous edition when Hyderabad FC had gone all the way in the competition.
Hyderabad FC has already qualified for the playoff stages of the ongoing season with 11 wins in 15 matches and a total of 35 points.
On the other hand, midfielder Glan Martins has rejoined ATK Mohun Bagan on a long-term deal, the club announced through their social media handles, on Monday.
Martins had played for 470 minutes in nine appearances for FC Goa this season and thus didn’t get a lot of game time under new coach Carlos Pena. The midfielder registered 29 tackles, nine clearances, seven blocks, and five interceptions this season.
