Mumbai City FC’s head coach Petr Kratky feels it will be a fantastic final against Mohun Bagan Super Giant in front of 60000 away fans at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium, Kolkata on Saturday.
In the last league stage match of the tournament, Mohun Bagan Super Giant defeated Mumbai City FC by 2-1 to win the League Shield title. The summit clash will once again be a battle between the top two teams of the competition.
Meanwhile, earlier in December, Mumbai City had won by 2-1 against Mohun Bagan Super Giant while playing at home.
After reaching the final, Kratky said, “It feels good. I am happy for the team and happy for the club. It’s all positive thoughts and all positive spirits. I am very happy for everyone.”
The Czech-Australian head coach shed light on the importance of Lallianzuala Chhangte, who has scored 10 goals and has provided six assists in the ongoing season.
“He is very important. As I said in the last game. He is a very good player. He is bouncing back. He gave a good performance, so we have to keep him in that. He deserves everything of what he has done and is rewarded with the goal and the team. So I am very very happy for him. So we just need him to keep going and keep working hard as he does and he is very important for us.”
Speaking on the final clash against Mohun Bagan Super Giant, Kratky said, “It will be a fantastic game. 60000 people away. We know the quality of Mohun Bagan, but we also know what we did wrong over there. We will try to improve it and be a little bit different team than we were in the first game. We can be better and we have to just recover, regroup, and move on and focus on the last game of the season.”
The ISL final will be played at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Kriranangan Stadium, Kolkata on Saturday.
