Table-toppers Ahmedabad Defenders will lock horns against Kochi Blue Spikers in the 20th match of the ongoing Prime Volleyball League 2022 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Ahmedabad has already made their way into the semifinal as they have won four out of their five matches and they will look to continue the winning impetus before the knockout matches.
On the other hand, Kochi Blue Spikers have struggled to get going in the ongoing season. Kochi have managed a solitary win and they have lost three out of their four matches. Thus, the Karthik-led team is at the bottom of the points table with only two points under their bag.
“The team is in a positive mindset, and we’ll make sure we’ll go all out in our last two league matches,” Karthik said.
“There have been times when we have attained a good lead, and then we have given it up in one crucial moment. The coaches and the management have noticed that, and we will try to hold on to our lead in the upcoming matches,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ahmedabad Defenders had won their previous match against Kolkata Thunderbolts by 3-2. Kochi Blue Spikers had also won their last game against Calicut Heroes by 3-2 but they will have their work cut out against a top team.
Prediction: There is no doubt that Ahmedabad Defenders will begin the contest as favorites against Kochi Blue Spikers.
