Gujarat Titans will face Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier at New Chandigarh in the ongoing IPL 2026 on Friday. Both teams would look to enter their third IPL final and come up with a collective effort.
GT had a poor outing against defending champions RCB in the first qualifier as they were totally dominated in all three aspects of the game. More disappointingly, GT were sloppy in the field as Kagiso Rabada gave a reprieve to Rajat Patidar when he was on 20.
GT bowlers could not hit the right areas against RCB and then they succumbed to pressure of chasing down 255. Ergo, they would need to come up with an improved performance against RR.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals claimed a comprehensive 47-run win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the star of show as he smashed a brilliant knock of 97 runs off just 29 balls. The left-hander batted at his absolute best as he scored five fours and 12 sixes.
However, RR could only manage 243 runs on the board when they were looking all set to post at least 270 runs on the board. RR would not want to falter in such a way after dominating the first 10 overs.
